Hello Romain,
These are several tips for submitting your code efficiently:
- you should try to give us clean diffs for your work:
* it's preferible to use cvs diff, but you could make diff to original
tarballs. You should indicate clearly which version are you working on.
* don't forgive the -N option for new files!
- you should try to split each part of your modifications:
* have different set of diffs. It would be cool if you could provide a diff
file each complete set of modification. For example, each hook could be in a
file.
- make clean documentation of what your plugin does and how your hooks works
* this will allow us to understand what you try to do with your code and
fix something if it get's broken when applying patches.
For submitting patches, ( for the hooks for example ) the best way I think
it's the Tracker -> Patches.
For new plugins, it could be hosted at Gforge.org if they're for general
interest and you want to release it... Tim can create a project for you to
control the plugin at the same time everybody of the Gforge team could
collaborate. Once the project is configured, you could release with the FRS
and the SCM system.
